Guillermina Ortega (Nahualt), was born in Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico in 1960 and studied in the National School of Sculpture, Painting and Printmaker La Esmeralda, the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City. She collaborated and worked as a investigator and cultural promoter in the Cultural Institute of Veracruz.Her installations talk about the native culture from Veracruz, starting from researches she have done alongside of Veracruz territory, she have performed visual works as object-art, draws, installations, ceramics and painting, giving to each work her interpretation of these ethnics features. Her work have been show in Mexico city, the state of Veracruz at the Festival Cumbre tajin and Veracruz’s House of Madrid, Spain.

Guillermina Ortega (Nuhualt) est née à Poza Rica, Véracruz au Mexique en 1960. Elle a étudié à l’École nationale de sculpture, à l’École de peinture et d’estampe La Esmeralda, et à l’Institut national des Beaux-Arts de Mexico. Elle a collaboré et travaillé à titre de chercheur et promoteur culturel à l’Institut culturel de Veracruz.Ses installations parlent de la culture autochtone de Veracruz et sont inspirées de ses propres recherches menées sur le territoire. Elle crée des objets d’art visuel tels des dessins, des installations, des céramiques et des peintures, donnant à chaque œuvre son interprétation des caractéristiques ethniques. Son travail a été présenté dans la ville de Mexico, dans l’État du Véracruz au Festival Cumbre tajin et à la Veracruz’s House à Madrid en Espagne.
